Here is what is known by us shore line fishermen and Divers...

We all know that tons of lead is cast into the sea... Broken/cut fishing lines hangs on the reef and coral....many of the popular fishing grounds...fishimg grounds look like bushes of hair...many times our new fishing line gets stuck and we bring up old fishing lines...

Are we a part of the problem..? Fishing is a huge part of our life...it supplements some of what we eat...it gives us joy

What can we do?

We may need to learn to be a part of the solution...

What can we do?

This is not news any more. We all know the situation. I think things will have to get much worse than this for people to wake up, sadly.

Tourist do MORE DAMAGE to the reefs than Hawaii residents...
Stepping on coral - already ILLEGAL according to DLNR rules - but do you see tourist getting fines?
NO, for obvious reasons...

Now, they are proving that sun screens are damaging...
Again, TOURISTS are a major contributor of this problem...

DO WE BAN TOURISTS???
