Wow, those prints are awesome. I have been looking at the process for a while and was thinking about experimenting with some prints my self. I guess I will have to try different inks but the black looks like Sumi ink. I heard that rice paper is the traditional way but is breaks so easily. I wonder if the paper is made to order which is thicker yet plyable than most rice paper. The cloth that she uses looks like a form of linen I guess that would work real nice, expensive but nice. I winder if the traditional method used silk?

I am an artist so this peaked my interest as the avatar I have up is one of my paintings done in oils. I am so looking forward to getting out to Oahu and get some great pictures to paint when I get back home. I will be there on Saturday can't wait.

Mahalo for starting this thread it has been of great interest to me.

Happy Catching

Hi Limu, I wish I knew that before. That post was back in July but that's Okay I will be trying to get back pout there as soon as I finish my series of paintings of the islands. I am working on a 24" X 48" painting of the Pali cliffs this one will take some time.

BTW just to let the Admins know, since I posted the paintings on the site I have had over 6.500 hits on Photobucket of just those 2 alone. Nice, now if only I could sell them...
Or the copies of them. Maybe I should start a return to Hawaii Fund... :D
