How about something a little different? An umaumalei on a fly rod and small green blind charlie fly . This pattern does a pretty good job of imitating a chunk of drifting seaweed. It was a brief but strong fight, suckers are strong! A naso tang, or orangespine unicornfish for the aquarium junkies. Man I love catching the trippy tropicals on fly fishing gear :)

I see tons of that fish all over the place but have never caught one.
I think you're right though....got to use limu as bait to go after those. Good going on getting one to hit your fly.
Beautiful fish.....good battle.....what more could you ask for.....nice photo too.
