Hello, Just wanted to add this... Very wide center kayaks ...make for a very stable platform...a friend could get into his wet suit standing up on his kayak... Just that is very windy and strong currents....these wide kayaks...are difficult to paddle back in... to two paddle forwards...back three sometimes...

Besure to check with those who have lots of experience in the kayaks you are interested in....fit your needs... especially if windy and strong currents...

This friend ended up selling his kayak to a bigger guy...and brought a more narrow one... he loves to dive in 60feet plus waters....

Aloha, We had a perception once...narrow and fast...son's one...
