Line, reel and pole

Post by ehhow » Fri Jul 26, 2013 6:33 pm

Got a m/h and heavy nitro and sealine 50 sha and newell 344. Gonna to respool and just wanted input on what line and which pole. Originally had both lined with 40 lb mono and just switched back and forth with the poles. Was thinking of switching the heave pole to some heavy baitcast and small sliding.

Only you will know which one works best... since you can interchange the reels and poles... Which one cast farther and easier to use...

As a rule of thumb the the reel with the most lines..? should be use for Sliding...than really doesn't matter..

Sliding... You may want to use heavier fishing lines than baiting casting ... just keep in will want approx 300 yds of whatever you are seems to be the norm for most guys..In Hawaii shoreline fishing..

Nitro heavy better for sliding...yet the MH will work just fine... In sliding a stiffer pole is prefer because most times fighting bigger fishes...and a stiffer pole you will get better control of fighting the fish...

NO rules..and guys catch Uluas on all kinds of rods and reels... just that some will make the work easier...

Aloha, ehow..? Not that important to" know how"...just go for it..!
