I not good enough to catch one over the other, so I love all goats.
I haven't caught one (decent sized one) in a LONG time!
Goats has got to be my favorite fish to eat.
Done right, it had tender meat - especially steamed.
Like mullet, but not all the weird smells and tastes of mullet cause they eating mud.
I might even take it over moi just because goats have a little bit more flavor over moi, but I would never turn down free moi either. :)
Uhu is just overrated - I don't like my fish all slathered with mayo, lup chong, sausage, and crap just to give it flavor.

Goats steamed with ginger, green onion and den flash with the hot peanut oil and shoyu sauce...
Mouth watering already!

Goat fishes...are usually very "soft meat"... besides frying them...or also like to boil them in shoyu /suger...water with ginger and garlic..w/green onions...pepper....etc..

Good with Miso soup style too...

Never did like goats......just cause.

I do eat the occasional weke though. Also an exception for weke ula :P
But, I'd rather eat a 3lb Nabeta over a 3lb Kumu anyway of the week.

When it comes down to it, any given day i'd rather be eating a....

From what I remember, goat fish get plenty bones. That's what made us stay away from goat fish.
