Long Distance Casting Tournament held on November 7 & 8 in Kingsville Texas

High humidity and high barometric pressure hindered longer casts.
Moderate wind, rain, and fire ants.

Tournament results:
Lou M (Big Lou), 777 feet, men's champion

Lisa O, 319, women's champion
Tammy B, 287

Participating, but not competing: US National Casting Champion & Gentleman, Will Nash
Although not competing, Will made casts over 800 feet.

May we ask what type of rods, reels , line and weights that are use?

Rods, mostly Zziplex and Century. Mine is made by Kilwell.

Reels are usually modified ABU. Will and I use modified Omoto Chief Xtreme reels. The modified Xtreme reels may become a line of tournament reels.

Line Size- Lure Weight
.25mm - 100 gram, about 3.5 ounces
.28mm - 125 gram, about 10 to 12 # line , about 4.375 ounces
.31mm - 150 gram, about 5.25 ounces
.35mm - 175 gram, about 6.125 ounces
