casting techniques

Would like to learn the proper techniques of casting. Not just for me but also for the new casters to read these techniques in the future.

Watching other casters...is a very good way to learn....!

Also...always use just one swing... many beginners..will make many swings thinking the next swing will be perfect to cast with and ending up with too many swings...

The best and most powerful casters... One swing is all you need! Those that still swing more than once..is from bad habits....

Watch baseball, golf, tennis, karate, bowling,etc... and long distance casters.... One swing....

Like holding a sword in the air, bringing the sword back and follow thru.

Follow thru...and learning the timing to thumb....takes lots of practice....
------------------
How do you know when you master the casting..? Easy... and it will happen with out you knowing too...!

The day you cast without thinking...about it... it just happens naturally... some guys can take a year or more... some just a few times....

Aloha, Like learning to first walk...then it comes naturally without thinking..or learning to ride a bike...drive a car...you don't have to think how to drive ..you just drive...

Here's a link that makes it look simple:

Jeremy Schrader is a top notch caster and fisherman. He has casts of over 250 meters (not yards) under his belt.

The following site has some useful techniques, such as using your hips and body to start the leads acceleration.
The videos are at the bottom of the page.

There are numerous casting styles. You will need to find the one that works best for you.
