Meat cartilage for bait?

Post by kona-ulua-style » Mon Sep 04, 2017 4:32 pm

This Weekend...I took a guy over night fishing..small game....dunking poles. And Menpachi only.....

This was his second time fishing with me...first time we were using ika only.. The fish were stealing the. Ika off the hooks...so this friend from the mainland...use this "magic bait ..he call it...

Turns out he was adding cook meat cartilage or the gristle...the tough fat part of his cook steaks... to his hooks...and a piece of the. Ika...his first fish...weight in a 2lb toau. ..the meat cartilage stay on most of the time...

Surpriseing it work for him...and he started to land more fish...,the ika was always gone but the meat cartilage...he sometimes were able use a few more times..

What kind steaks? ..not sure...you will need to use the chewy fats..one you can chew for ever...lol

Aloha..

Another thing. ...anise oil and cod oil mix? Or anise by it self...

A friend tried many of the fish scents and found the SHRIMP SCENT OR OILS...seems to work the best....

Remember every fish has Nose....man can smell one part.to ten......a dog one part to a thousand...and fish can smell one part million...this is not accurate measurement.....one thing for sure ...fish has a very powerful nose...and they use it well........PALU...always a good idea ...

Leave a dead ffish in your car for a week? ....then you know.... fish can smelll

Aloha
