Moon Phase-- Full moon, black moon.... They are all the same. (to some Ulua fishermen) Most fishermen (on the east side of Oahu) believe that the best time to fish for the elusive ulua starts just after the full moon. Peaking at around 6 days after the full moon. This "moon phase" theory has been used for many years. Most shore casters play the "moon phase" during the ulua season which starts around April and ends in August-September.
