Outcast Monofilament line

Outcast Monofilament line is a great entry level fishing line that is great for beginner's to the cost-conscience hard-core fishermen.  Ranging in price from $35-$40 for 1600 yards of 80lb test it's a bargain for anyone!

Verdict:  Outcast monofilament is a great substitute for the more expensive ande, maxima, Stren monofilament fishing lines.  For the harder-core ulua fishermen out there, I would go with the ande and maxima if you dont mind spending money.  For the people who want as much line as they can get in their reels then Outcast is the perfect match!  There are cheaper lines out there.  Some fishing stores fill up 80lb test line for only a penny a yard.  That equals to about $3 to fill an extended 4.0.  Those lines are slightly lower quality than the Outcast line.

I have 80lb clear Outcast monofilament in two of my Penn 113HLW Reels and have noticed a slightly higher number of fish lost due to my line rubbing on the rocks and cutting a lot easier.  Outcast is harder to cast in my opinion too!  This line always "slips" and backlashes when I try to really whip the lead out.  I cant put all my strength into the cast since the line will slip if I do.  I dont know why this line does that to me?  I still think it's a good line though.  Other than that, I recommend Outcast for just about anyone, mainly due to the great price and volume of line you get!

good luck-->bigulua
