The Ultimate Headlamp

If you want to spend some big bucks for a good headlamp... then the ultimate headlamp is for you!  Average cost for the ultimate headlamp is $70 without head strap, $90 with head strap.  

Features include:

• Dimmer switch.

• Push button on/off switch.

• Adjustable beam reflector.

• Halogen light bulb.

• Rechargeable battery terminal lugs.

• Heavy-duty, water resistant construction.

• High quality head strap (if bought with it)

Pro's:

• Durable construction

• Semi-tight beam (better than the Fuji headlamp but not as good as the Toshiba)

• Water resistant.

• Rechargeable battery leads.

Con's

• Heavy weight! (Weight approximately 3-4 times the Toshiba head lamp)

• Not so tight beam.

• Only carry's one light bulb... no extra's.

• COST, COST, COST!

Verdict:  The ultimate head lamp is a very strong and useful product but for the semi-hardcore to beginner fisherman, I wont recommend it.  I only recommend it for hard-core ulua fishermen who don't mind spending money for a quality product.  I have a Ultimate head lamp and love it!  It's a great substitute for the Toshiba head lamps which I think are the best out there but I can't find.  If anyone out there know where I can purchase a Toshiba Headlamp, please tell me!  email  Remember...  a good light can mean be the extra factor between life and death on the cliffs!

7.10.02 There have been reports of Toshiba headlamps located at various stores on Oahu.  Sadly to say that all the reports that I have had are false.  The only headlamps that I saw were the Fuji ones.
