VMC ULUA HOOKS

This hook is for the hard core Ulua fishermen! Priced at around $2.00 each, VMC hooks arent for the money conscience person.
Features include:
Light weight.
Strong design.
Super sharp tip (don't really need to sharpen them).
Almost guaranteed to hook up!
Pro's:
Same as above!
Con's
High Price!
The whole hook rusts when you use wire leader with it (due to electrolysis).
Almost guaranteed to hook up. Which is bad if you don't want to catch eels!
Verdict: In my opinion, VMC Ulua hooks are awesome! The only problem is the high cost. I've been using them for about two years and I have had around 90-95% hook ups! That means that 90-95% of the strikes I took hooked up! When I was using Tankichi, and tuna circle hooks, I was averaging about 60-75%. That's a big increase in fish! The only downside to that is the eels also hook up when you dont want it. Imagine throwing your line out perfectly, getting your lead stuck in the right spot, cutting your bait, carefully hooking your bait to your shiny new VMC hook, and then sliding the bait down at the prime time. Then imagine a huge puhi paka getting hooked up 15 minutes after you slide your bait down! BUMMERS! That happens a lot now. But it didnt when I was using the cheaper hooks! I guess that's fishing!
good luck-->bigulua
