Warren Hiroshi Matsuda
October 2, 1974 - September 27, 2002
Warren Hiroshi Matsuda was born on October 2, 1974, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was the son of Colleen and the late Thomas Matsuda and the oldest brother to Julia and Ian Matsuda. Warren attended Koko Head Elementary, Niu Valley Intermediate, and Kaiser High School where he graduated cum laude in 1992. Warren was a five-sport athlete at Kaiser and culminated his senior year by being honored as the Male Scholar Athlete of the Year. After his high school years, Warren went on to the University of Hawaii at Manoa and earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology. Throughout college, he proudly worked as a runner at Roy's Restaurant in Hawaii Kai. In 2001, Warren's dedication to his work was rewarded as he was named Roy's Employee of the Year. Warren always enjoyed fishing, surfing & body boarding, traveling, various sporting activities, hanging out with his friends, and we can't forget the friendly bickering between him and his family as Warren asserted himself as the "King of the Castle."
A mass of unlimited energy, Warren made the most of every day, daring others to try and keep up with him. He was never one to back away from something new because he knew it would only make him stronger.
The sun doesn't shine as brightly without you here, Warren. You will truly be missed and never forgotten.
